Managing Location Classes


A location class is a group of locations. It provides a convenient way of grouping several logical locations together for transfer operations.

You can manage location classes by navigating in the folders panel to Setup -> Location Classes. Location classes can be added and modified a follows:

1. Double-click on the location class you want to modify, or choose File -> New from the menu bar to create a new one.

2. Fill in the fields in the dialog.

Class
The name of the location class. This needs to conform to the valid naming conventions.

Description
For entering a short description of the purpose of the location class.

Locations
The locations that comprise this location class. This field also allows you to choose the order in which the locations will appear in the location class on the navigation panel. To do this, click on the icon on the left-hand side of the row and use the arrow buttons to move the row up and down.

Access rights
The access rights that are specified for this location class.
